Soccer Game Preview: Boonville vs. Moberly

The Boonville Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Moberly Spartans at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Boonville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Oak Grove just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Moberly's offense. They lost 6-0 to Hannibal on Tuesday.

Boonville's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Moberly, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Boonville came up short against Moberly in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 2-0. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
