Recap: Lightridge Bolts vs. Riverbend Bears
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Lightridge Bolts walked away with it. They managed a 60-55 victory over the Bears on Monday. The victory was just what Lightridge needed coming off of a 66-38 defeat in their prior game.
Charlotte Mullinax and Maniyah Alston certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Mullinax scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Alston scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Pace, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Lightridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. As for Riverbend, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.
Lightridge will head out on the road to challenge Briar Woods at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Briar Woods is coming into the contest with seven straight victories at home, so Lightridge is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Riverbend does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
