Baseball Recap: Amphitheater Takes a Loss

Amphitheater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-2 to the Thatcher Eagles. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Amphitheater's record now sits at 0-8. As for Thatcher, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8.

Looking ahead, Amphitheater will take on Empire at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thatcher, they will face off against Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
