Softball Recap: Skyridge Comes Up Short

Skyridge made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lehi, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost four in a row.

Maylee Walston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played.

Skyridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Lehi, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8.

Looking ahead, Skyridge will face off against Springville at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine matches. As for Lehi, they will take on Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
