 Lee County is 0-10 against Union Pines since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Lee County Yellow Jackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Union Pines Vikings at 7:30  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Last Wednesday, Lee County made easy work of Western Harnett  and carried off a  76-50 victory.
 Lee County relied on the efforts of   Nic Farrow, who  scored 23 points along with 5  rebounds and 5  steals, and   Jayden Hill, who  scored 21 points along with 6  assists and 5  steals. The  match was  Farrow's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Isaiah McKendall, who  scored 9 points.
 Meanwhile, Union Pines came tearing into  Friday's  game with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against South Johnston by a score of  78-69.
  Aiden Leonard was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 29 points along with 5  rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which  he has scored at least 25% of Union Pines' points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zion Kiser, who  scored 11 points along with 3  steals.
 The losses dropped Lee County to 1-2 and Western Harnett to 0-7.
