Softball Recap: East Rutherford Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

East Rutherford extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 9-6. They blew past the Patton Panthers 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Patton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 12, 2024, but that streak is no more.

For Patton's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lila Hudson, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Rutherford will take on rival West Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Patton is set to square off against their familiar foe Draughn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
