Soccer Game Preview: Paradise Honors vs. Shadow Mountain

The Paradise Honors Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Shadow Mountain Matadors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Paradise Honors has three straight victories, Shadow Mountain has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Paradise Honors' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenway, sneaking past 1-0. The Panthers wouldn't have won without Ethan Olari, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Shadow Mountain's offense. They came up short against Moon Valley on Monday, falling 6-0.

Paradise Honors pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those six matchups. As for Shadow Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Paradise Honors took their victory against Shadow Mountain when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paradise Honors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
