Softball Recap: Mission Vista Comes Up Short

Mission Vista extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-10 in the process. They lost 10-1 to the Sage Creek Bobcats. Mission Vista was not able to make up for their defeat to Sage Creek from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Mission Vista saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Raphael, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Sage Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.

On Sage Creek's side, Kaimana Coleman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. That's the most RBI Coleman has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Makena Coleman, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Vista will welcome Torrey Pines at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Mission Vista surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sage Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Costa Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
