Recap: Elberta Warriors vs. Northview Chiefs
The Elberta Warriors were the 59-44 winner over the Northview Chiefs when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Elberta was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 47-46 to Northview. Elberta has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Diamond, who scored 11 points. The contest was Diamond's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was JACOB SPENCE, who scored nine points.
Elberta has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Northview, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elberta will take on Baldwin County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Baldwin County will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Northview, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jay at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Jay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Saturday.
