Walnut Grove put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Sherman Bearcats a 3-0 shutout. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Sherman with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Bitner, Ben Joyner, and Carson Stiglets.

Walnut Grove's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Sherman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Coming up, Walnut Grove will face off against McKinney North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinney North knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Walnut Grove likes a good challenge. As for Sherman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Anna at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
