Baseball Game Preview: Holy Trinity Titans vs. St. Dominic Bayhawks

For the second straight game, Holy Trinity will face off against St. Dominic. The Titans will host the Bayhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Holy Trinity's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so St. Dominic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Holy Trinity fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against St. Dominic on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bayhawks by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For St. Dominic's part, they got a great performance from Luke Lang as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Lang has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, St. Dominic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Weinstein, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The loss snapped Holy Trinity's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-3 record. As for St. Dominic, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
