Fairfield scaled the state rankings by moving to 125 from 167 this week, the biggest jump in Northeast Corner. The Falcons were able to move up by topping Lakeland 49-10.

Churubusco extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Culver Academies, 20-3. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Eagles.

Kyle Mast threw for 199 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 7-10 with 0 interceptions.

Mast put up the best numbers in passing as Fairfield topped the Lakers. Mast's favorite target this week was Forrest Glogouski, who caught 2 passes for 126 yards.

5-foot-11 quarterback Mast of Bob Miller's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 797. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ty Lockhart. The Eastside star has 17 catches for 352 yards.

The Falcons' offense has scored 296 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Churubusco has allowed only 29 on the year.

Cameron Kitson of the Fairfield is only 95 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 97 carries Kitson has put up 905 yards this year.

The Eagles are currently in first, while the Falcons are in third.

Angola and Prairie Heights played the closest game in the league this week, with Angola eventually emerging with a 13-7 victory.
