Volleyball Recap: Northport Has No Trouble Against Cusick

With a playoff win on the line, Northport rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Cusick Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win last Saturday.

While Northport won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-18.

Dalilah Colton had an outrageously good game as she had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. Kylie Colton was another key player, getting 12 digs, five kills, and three aces.

Northport's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Cusick, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Northport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Wilbur-Creston-Keller on the 1st. Cusick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
