Softball Recap: Eastern Randolph Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Eastern Randolph brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on the Trinity Bulldogs with a sharp 15-0 win on Thursday. The Wildcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2025 (when they won 18-2).

Adie Beck made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Beck was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season.

In other batting news, Hailey Ritter was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. London Hardin was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Eastern Randolph hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Eastern Randolph's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Trinity, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Eastern Randolph will face off against Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity, they will square off against Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
