Basketball Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

If Antioch was feeling good fresh off their 58-31 takedown of Senn last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Antioch Sequoits took a blow against the Benet Academy Redwings on Saturday, falling 85-49. The Sequoits were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-26.

The loss snapped Antioch's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-4 record. As for Benet Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Antioch and Roseville will round out the year against one another at at 3:20 p.m. on Friday. As for Benet Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stevenson at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
