Basketball Recap: Memorial Day Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Memorial Day played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 66-19 loss at the hands of the Brunswick Pirates. The contest marked the Matadors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brunswick to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Creel, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Justin Carreker was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points and seven boards.

Memorial Day has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Brunswick, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Memorial Day and Brunswick will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Matadors see the court they'll take on Coastal HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on December 5. As for Brunswick, their break will end when they face Richmond Hill at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
