Basketball Recap: Brooks County Falls Despite Big Games from Rahasia Frazier and Imani Hall

Brooks County was the 44-33 winner over Turner County when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Brooks County Trojans took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Turner County Titans on Friday. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Titans 11-5 in the first quarter.

Imani Hall and Rahasia Frazier certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hall posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Frazier dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds Frazier has posted since back in February of 2024. Kmina Grier was another key player, putting up nine points.

Even though they lost, Brooks County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Brooks County's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Turner County, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Brooks County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-66 defeat against Charlton County on the 8th. As for Turner County, they have also already played their next contest, a 53-50 loss against Fitzgerald on the 8th.
