Softball Recap: Republic County Buffaloes vs. Bennington Bulldogs
Republic County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Bennington Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 on Monday.

Republic County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Stindt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Stindt has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Lexie Smith also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Republic County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bennington, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Republic County will challenge Lyons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bennington, they will face off against Moundridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
