Volleyball Recap: Mcgavock's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

McGavock was the 3-1 winner over Hillsboro when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Burros on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Raiders have suffered since September 11th.

Their offense was headlined by Zoie Saine and Cailyn Ekberg, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Ali Haskins-Morgan and her 23 assists. Ekberg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

With the defeat, McGavock broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 12-15. As for Hillsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.
