Softball Recap: Valwood Valiants vs. Deerfield-Windsor Knights
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Terrell Academy, Valwood was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over the Deerfield-Windsor Knights. The result was nothing new for the Valiants, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Hali Thomas made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Thomas was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Valwood let Haidi Vu and Abi Brooks loose on the outfield.
