Basketball Game Preview: Normangee Panthers vs. Leon Cougars

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Normangee Panthers duke it out with the Leon Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday... Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Normangee turned things around against Centerville on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-27 win over the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Leon came tearing into Monday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 53-17 victory over the Tigers. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

Leon has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Normangee, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16.
