Recap: Clinton Arrows vs. Germantown Mavericks

It was a good run, but the Clinton Arrows unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 46-21 loss at the hands of Germantown. The low total for Clinton ended their streak of high-flying scores.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clinton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Germantown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alana Rouser out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Rouser is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Jordan, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Clinton's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Germantown, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Clinton will take on Blue Mountain in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Blue Mountain will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Germantown will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Olive Branch at 4:00 p.m. on December 21, 2023. Olive Branch is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
