Baseball Recap: Cannon County Comes Up Short

If Cannon County was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Grundy County on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forrest Rockets on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost three in a row.

Cannon County now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Forrest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
