Basketball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

If Meridian was riding high fresh off their 74-34 takedown of Pearl last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Meridian Wildcats were dealt a 54-23 loss at the hands of the Brandon Bulldogs on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 38-34 loss last Tuesday.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Brandon, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Meridian has already played their next match, a 40-38 win against Oak Grove on the 7th. Brandon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
