Football Recap: Desert Vista Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Desert Vista extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They lost to the Queen Creek Bulldogs on the road by a 33-19 margin. The Thunder were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in November of 2019.

When it comes to explaining why Desert Vista lost, don't look at Kyler Drunasky. Despite the final result, he rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 62 receiving yards and one TD. Henry Williams also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.

As for Queen Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their eight-point performance the game before.

David Rosson was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 158 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. Those 158 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Desert Vista will look to defend their home field on Friday against Nogales at 7:00 p.m. As for Queen Creek, they are taking a road trip to challenge Casteel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 38.5 points per game this season.
