Basketball Game Preview: New Manna Christian Wind vs. Union Grove Christian Patriots

The New Manna Christian Wind are taking a road trip to square off against the Union Grove Christian Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Manna Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.6 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, New Manna Christian was fully in charge, breezing past Victory Christian Academy 66-14. The Wind have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

New Manna Christian had a senior duo take command as Micah Wagner dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 11 boards, and ten assists and Blade Baker went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Wagner's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Walker, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Union Grove Christian suffered their biggest loss since February 8th on Thursday. They were outmatched by Oak Grove and fell 77-36. The match marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Union Grove Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3. As for New Manna Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

New Manna Christian might still be hurting after the 71-46 loss they got from Union Grove Christian in their previous matchup back in January. Can New Manna Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
