Basketball Game Preview: Castle View Sabercats vs. ThunderRidge Grizzlies

The Castle View Sabercats will square off against the ThunderRidge Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Castle View ended up a good deal behind Mountain Vista and lost 66-50. While losing is never fun, the Sabercats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, ThunderRidge came up short against Air Academy on Saturday, falling 60-35. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Castle View has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for ThunderRidge, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Castle View took a serious blow against ThunderRidge when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 55-20. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of ThunderRidge's Claire Wilson, who went 9 of 13 en route to 24 points and five boards.
