Recap: West Oaks Academy Flame vs. Balboa School
The West Oaks Academy Flame are ranked highly in their home state, and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Balboa School. West Oaks Academy took a serious blow against Balboa School, falling 82-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat West Oaks Academy has suffered since November 24, 2023.
Vito Albanese was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 23 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jordan Dickson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists.
West Oaks Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Balboa School, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Oaks Academy will take on D at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Balboa School, they will be playing at home against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
