The Southwest Guilford Cowboys are taking a road trip to square off against the East Surry Cardinals at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Cowboys fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 57-18 win over High Point Central. The Cowboys not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 22, 2024 (when they won 70-11).

Meanwhile, East Surry had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against East Wilkes by a score of 49-42.
