Volleyball Game Preview: Benet Academy Redwings vs. Jones Eagles

The Benet Academy Redwings will square off against the Jones Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Benet Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Benet Academy beat Saint Viator 2-0.

Benet Academy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Jones was able to grind out a solid victory over Kenwood on Wednesday, taking the game 2-0.

While Jones might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Kenwood scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Benet Academy pushed their record up to 20-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Jones, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Benet Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Jones when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Redwings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
