Hillsboro took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Farmington, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Knights 3-2. This was payback for Hillsboro, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The victory snapped Hillsboro's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-9 record. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
