Baseball Recap: Classical Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ridgeview last Monday, Classical Academy came back down to earth. The Caimans took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastlake Titans on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Caimans of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Classical Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Hoff, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Eastlake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Classical Academy will face off against Clairemont at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastlake, they will take on San Ysidro at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 2.7, the Cougars 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
