Softball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside entered their game against Riverside on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Lakeside came up short against Riverside, falling 13-2. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Riverside, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will square off against Northport at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside is facing Northport at the right time seeing as Northport is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Riverside, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Deer Park at 4:00 p.m. on April 15.
