Basketball Recap: North Drops Season-High Score on Milwaukee Juneau

North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took an 85-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milwaukee Juneau Pioneers. One positive for the Blue Devils, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why North lost, don't look at Jamarion Martin. Despite the final result, he shot 7-for-12 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Martin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Collins Jacobs, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

North's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Milwaukee Juneau, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-54 defeat against Xavier on the 21st. Milwaukee Juneau and Dominican will round out the year against one another at at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. Milwaukee Juneau knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Dominican likes a good challenge.
