Softball Recap: Medford Takes a Loss

Medford has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.33 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the Mosinee Indians. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.

Medford's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Mosinee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Coming up, Medford will take on Grantsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mosinee, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Antigo at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 2.6, the Red Robins 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
