Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Box Elder

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Box Elder ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Clearfield Falcons by a score of 7-4. For the Bees, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Grant Kohler and Porter Francom did most of the damage at the plate: Kohler went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple, while Francom went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Francom a new career-high.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Box Elder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.6.

Box Elder pushed their record up to 6-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Clearfield, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.

Box Elder will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
