Basketball Recap: Douglas Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

If McQueen wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Douglas, they should've done a better job of containing Ashlyn Greenfield. The Douglas Tigers strolled past the McQueen Lancers with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 70-54 thanks in part to Greenfield, who went 8 for 19 en route to 21 points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played.

Kaylee Bradford was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaleigh Fred, who posted 16 points and five steals. That's the most points Fred has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Audrey Baumgardner, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 15 points.

Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for McQueen, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.

Douglas has already played their next match (against Reed), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. McQueen has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Carson.
