Recap: Cleveland Central Wolves vs. Clarksdale Wildcats
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Cleveland Central Wolves can now relate to. They were dealt a 41-6 defeat at the hands of Clarksdale on Friday. Cleveland Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clarksdale apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August.
Javaris Beamon threw for 116 yards on 11 of 41 attempts. Kevierre Weatherspoon was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards.
Cleveland Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Clarksdale, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Cleveland Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clarksdale will square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lafayette is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
