Cushing had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Cleveland on Monday. Cushing was the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over Cleveland. Considering Cushing has won five matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Cushing's third in a row) raised their record to 7-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Cushing will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cleveland: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
