Basketball Recap: Bamberg-Ehrhardt Sets Scoring Season-High Against Barnwell

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bamberg-Ehrhardt). They walked away with a 56-49 victory over the Barnwell Warhorses on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Brian Mcmillian had an outrageously good game as he went 9 for 16 on his way to 23 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jalen Mcgraw, who posted 13 points.

Mcmillian wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bamberg-Ehrhardt was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Barnwell, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bamberg-Ehrhardt won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Royal Live Oaks Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Barnwell, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Bridges Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
