Basketball Recap: Leo Comes Up Short

Leo's game on Friday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost to the Heritage Patriots on the road by a 59-42 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 67-61 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Heritage's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucas Taylor, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Taylor a new career-high in assists (four). Kingston Galentine was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Leo now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Heritage, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Leo will host Fort Wayne South Side at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will take on Lakewood Park Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
