Basketball Recap: Grace Prep's Loss Ends Ten-Game Winning Streak at Home

Grace Prep entered their contest against Greenhill on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Grace Prep Lions took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenhill Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Hornets are ranked 35th).

DIllon Watt was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 18 en route to 28 points along with seven rebounds and six assists for Greenhill. Watt's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Thompson, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Grace Prep's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4. As for Greenhill, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Grace Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-61 win against Legacy Christian Academy on the 10th. As for Greenhill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-46 victory against Fort Worth THESA on the 10th.
