Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Takes a Loss

Berean Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Redwood Christian Eagles 98-59. Berean Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Redwood Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Leading Redwood Christian to victory were David Rogers and Nehemiah Mitchell. Rogers dropped a double-double on 41 points and 14 boards, while Mitchell went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points and five assists. Rogers' afternoon made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Hubbard, who dropped a double-double on 12 rebounds and ten blocks.

Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Redwood Christian, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

Berean Christian will square off against Las Lomas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Redwood Christian, they will take on California Crosspoint at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
