Basketball Recap: Heritage Preparatory Falls Despite Big Games from Camille Peoples and Dylan Brown

Heritage Preparatory and Heritage squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Heritage Preparatory had to settle for second. They took a hard 51-33 fall against the Heritage Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 47-32 defeat back in January.

Heritage Preparatory's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dylan Brown, who posted nine points and eight boards, and Camille Peoples, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Peoples is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Maddy Millard also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Heritage Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Heritage Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-28 loss against Furtah Prep on the 13th.
