Basketball Recap: Torrington Christian Academy Beats Varsity Opponent for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Torrington Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 49-37 win over Varsity Opponent. That's the seventh time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 58-17 win last Monday.

Torrington Christian Academy was led to victory by Alexa Johnston and Sarena Doot. Johnston went 9-for-19 en route to 18 points and six rebounds, while Doot posted ten points along with seven boards and five assists. Those 18 points gave Johnston a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bonita Lilley, who scored eight points and five boards.

Torrington Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
