St. Joseph-Ogden was the 2-1 winner over Marshall when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While St. Joseph-Ogden ultimately came up short, they really made Marshall work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-14, 27-25.

St. Joseph-Ogden's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

St. Joseph-Ogden will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuscola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshall, they will take on Hutsonville/Palestine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
