Football Recap: Lone Pine Starts Season with Loss at Home

Lone Pine unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 38-26 to the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle on Saturday. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagle apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The victory got Academy of Careers & Exploration back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lone Pine will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Immanuel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on September 13. As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, they will head out to square off against Lancaster Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
