            Football Recap: Evangel Christian Academy Eagles vs. Neville Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Evangel Christian Academy faced Neville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles and the Tigers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Eagles suffered  a  33-32 loss. The Eagles were up  14-0 in the first  quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Despite the loss, Evangel Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from   Peyton Houston, who threw for 275 yards and one  TD while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 73 yards and one  score. 81 of  Houston's passing yards were hauled in by Charley Abraham.
 Even if they lost, Evangel Christian Academy's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Neville's QB  won't forget  Ethan Mandigo anytime soon given he sacked him four times. Evangel Christian Academy received some extra help from  Mandigo, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evangel Christian Academy will welcome Natchitoches Central  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 12th. This will  be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Neville, they will be playing at home against Calvary Baptist Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 12th.
