Softball Recap: Macomb Takes a Loss

Macomb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Farmington Farmers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bombers of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Macomb saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Schmalshof, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Macomb's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Macomb will welcome Illini West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Farmington, they will face off against Peoria Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
