Basketball Recap: Doniphan West Comes Up Short

Doniphan West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 57-31 to the Hanover Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-56 back in January.

Hanover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braylon Meyn, who went 5-for-6 en route to 15 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Meyn a new career-high in shooting accuracy (83%). Kadrick Cohorst was another key player, putting up ten points.

Doniphan West's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Hanover, their record is now 11-6.

Doniphan West has already played their next contest, a 46-35 defeat against Perry-Lecompton on the 17th. As for Hanover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 119-39 win against Washington County on the 18th.
